QR codes on tables: the complete guide

Stickers, stands or framed — how to put your QR where every customer scans it.

Why put a QR on every table

The table is where customers wait, decide and pay — the perfect moment to open your menu, follow your Instagram or leave a review. One code on each table turns dead waiting time into engagement.

Choose the right support

Laminated stickers resist spills and cleaning; acrylic stands look premium on café tables; PVC cards slipped into menu holders work for restaurants. For terraces, choose UV-resistant prints so the code stays scannable all summer.

Where exactly to place it

Flat on the table near the napkin holder, at eye level on a stand, or on the corner where nothing covers it. Avoid spots under plates or behind condiments — if customers must move things, half will not scan.

Keep the code easy to scan

Print at least 3×3 cm, keep strong contrast (dark code on light background), add a short call-to-action like 'Scan for the menu', and always test with several phones before printing the whole batch.

Track scans per table

With Scanova Pro you can generate multiple QR codes — one per table or zone — and see which ones get scanned most. You learn your busiest tables and the real reach of your printed codes.
